The Role
We're looking for a Senior Counsel to join our legal team. This is a hands-on role for a lawyer who's sharp on contracts, comfortable navigating the complexity of a growing fintech, and genuinely excited about working in an environment where AI tools are part of the day-to-day workflow. You'll work closely with business partners across the company to support a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters.What You'll Do
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partner agreements, vendor contracts, and technology agreements
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to business teams, helping them move quickly while managing risk
- Support the Chief Legal Officer on regulatory matters, particularly related to payments and financial services
- Use and advocate for Legal AI tools to improve the team’s efficiency
- Collaborate with finance, product, and compliance teams on a variety of matters
This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA. Our office is located at The Battery and in-office days are Tuesday and Thursday each week.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience practicing law, with a strong commercial contracts background
- A combination of law firm training and in-house experience. You know and understand both sides of the table
- Comfortable working with Legal AI tools and genuinely interested in what an AI-first legal function looks like
- Strong business judgment and the ability to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-lawyers
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction
Bonus Points
- Experience in financial services or fintech regulatory matters (payments, money transmission, prepaid products, etc.)
- Familiarity with cross-border payments, international compliance, or card network rules
